Konji Konji Pesi from Kaithi Kannayiram

  • This is probably going to be my ONLY post for November. Unless, somehow, something drives me to write one, while I am on my vacation.
  • My days are busy. Real busy. And on certain ones, they get strenuous. Five more woking days to go. Will need Herculean strength to settle EVERYTHING before I sign off this Friday evening. So, help me God.
  • I am making a moist chocolate cake this evening. Hershey's are synonymous with the best of chocolate, and that is what I am using. Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder, Hershey's chocolate syrup and Hershey's chocolate chips. Hope it turns out real well.
  • It is Sunday today. It is drizzling outside. And the weather is cool and cloudy. Same time next week, yours truly will be in Pondicherry. Yeah.....
  • I have yet to pack my bags. I am taking a big risk. I am expecting loads of work at office tomorrow - especially with it being Manic Monday. Will need to run on the dot on Tuesday. Our family prayers for Appa is slotted that evening. Have an all girl date on Wednesday evening. Right after work. Some shopping. Some frolicking. Some this. Some that. Thursday ? Nothing yet. But definitely, a need to clear anything pending will rise. Friday. Come what may, I need to leave my cubicle at 5.30pm sharp. I bet I will have lots of last minute preparations. That is norm.
  • Deepavali is just a week or so away. I pray for everyone. I pray that each and everyone of us will be blessed with happiness, good health and prosperity. The good always reigns.
  • I am going to spend more than a week in Chennai. Just Chennai. It was a deep and genuine request to Amma. Kindly take note. It is "to Amma' and NOT "from Amma". I am the Chennai freak. I am the one who is super gaga over this busy and over populated metropolitan city. Just the thought of it puts me in a state of delirium.
  • I have vowed NOT to shop crazily while I am in India. Especially with my immense passion for churidhar suits, salwar kameezs, sarees, jhumkas and bangles. A few exotic pieces. That's all. Lets see.....
  • Happiness, to me, is, having my loved ones, right beside. No amount of money will measure up to the blissfulness of it. I love God. I love my family. I love my blessed life. And I am thankful to everything He has given me.
  • To my Appa - who I so, so love. Happy Deepavali. It doesn't matter that you are not around in person. You are - in spirit and soul. To me. To Amma. To Akka. And to the rest of the family. Your thoughts are present with us all the time. Love you. And, miss you.
  • Drawing the curtains. Happy Deepavali everyone. Take care. God Bless.
