Un Uruvam Kaanbathenral from Kaaviyam

Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam. The great SP Bala-Ji. The one with the virtuous voice. The only playback singer in India to have won National Film Awards across four languages. He has sung more than 40,000 songs in more than 15 different Indian languages - including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi,Malayalam, Marathi, English, Bengali, Oriya, Punjabi, Tulu, Sanskrit, Assamese, Konkani, Badaga and Gondi. Amazing isn't it ? This admirable soul turned 65 on 4th of June, and I pray from the depth of my heart for his happiness and well being.
I was there in Kamarajar Arangam, Chennai on February 13th 2011, when he was the special guest in this Pre-Valentine concert. He was humble, affectionate, kindhearted and thoughtful in person. A charming prodigy. God bless this great singing superstar.
A tad sad song for the occasion, but feel the depth of his voice in this uncharted number. The bitterness and dejection that he delivers sounds so real and authentic.
An Unknown Author said this, "When love is lost, do not bow your head in sadness; instead keep your head up high and gaze into heaven for that is where your broken heart has been sent to heal...". Found it very comforting. No, I do not have a broken heart. Mine is all hale, healthy and happy. It is just bolstering to know that a broken heart is actually sent to God. He heals - anything. Believe Him. Staunch faith moves mountains.
